Leaside High fights drunk driving with international style
Fashion show works the catwalk for a cause
Leaside High School hosted annual charity fashion show in support of Mothers Against Drunk Driving on Feb. 25. MADD is close to the students’ hearts, as a former student passed away earlier this year as a victim of impaired driving. A memorial to the deceased was also part of the event this year. The theme this year, as shown in these photos, was fashion in five different cultures: Japan, Russia, United States, France and India.
A total of 80 people were involved in this year’s show, including 20 backstage and technical personnel — making this the biggest-ever production of the show. Seventy student-designed outfits were presented by the Grade 12 students.
