Man arrested for Bedford Park bank holdups
Police allege 50-year-old used handgun in robberies 20 minutes apart

Police have arrested and charged a 50-year-old man they allege robbed two Bedford Park banks within 20 minutes on Friday, Jan. 2.
In a news release, police said Conrey Francis was arrested Friday, Jan. 9 and charged with two counts each of robbery while armed with a firearm and disguise with intent.
The TD Bank at Yonge Street and Bedford Park Avenue was robbed at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 2. Police say a man ran up to a teller, pulled out a silver handgun and made a verbal demand for money. The man told everyone in the bank not to move. He handed the teller a plastic bag and ordered it to be filled with money.
At 6:50 p.m., police allege the same man entered a BMO Bank at Avenue Road and Fairlawn Avenue, and did the same thing.
