Man charged with luring child, sexual asssault

Other victims may be found, police say

A 37-year-old man has been arrested on Jan. 24 after a child was sexually assaulted at a man’s home over several months, police say.

The arrest resulted from a search of a home near Victoria Park Avenue and Eglinton Avenue East.

In January 2016 a child met a man online who later assaulted the child at his home and sent the child sexually explicit images over the Internet, according to police.

Police are concerned there may have been other victims as they say the man also communicated with other underage online users for a sexual purpose.

The man is described as using the name “Richard B Adams” online.

Richard Adams of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with sexual assault, sexual interference, making sexually explicit material available to a child and two counts of luring a child.

He was to appear in court on Jan. 24.
