Man mugged near York Mills

A man managed to scare off two muggers near York Mills Road and Yonge Street on Nov. 30.

Police say a 20-year-old man was in the area at 7:40 p.m. when two men approached and demanded his belongings. After the man complied, one mugger reportedly pushed him with the handgun, and went through his pant pockets. When the man began to shout, the suspects took off. The man was unharmed.

Sketch released in sexual assault case

Police have released a composite sketch of a wanted man after a woman was sexually assaulted in her apartment Nov. 9.

The incident occurred around 4 a.m., when a man reportedly entered the woman’s Spadina Road and Dupont Street apartment and sexually assaulted her.

The woman screamed alerting a neighbour, who came to her aid. The man fled.

The suspect is described as male, brown, bald, 20-30 years of age, 5-foot-9, 160lbs., with a pockmarked face. He was last seen wearing blue denim pants and a light jacket.

Elderly man robbed

A man was robbed in a parking lot near Bayview Avenue and Grove Park Crescent on Dec. 5.

The 71-year-old man told police he was in the lot just after noon when three men approached him.

The group engaged the man in conversation and then removed cash from the man’s pant pocket, police say.

The group then fled the scene. The man was unharmed.
