Mihevc, Matlow now have company

Longtime St. Paul’s councillor Joe Mihevc now has competition for his Ward 21 seat, with two challengers registering in August.
Cos Licursi filed nomination papers Aug. 11 and Ted Bustamante filed two days later. They are attempting to unseat a popular councillor who has represented the area since 2000.
Mihevc filed on Jan. 2, the first day possible to run in the Oct. 27 election.
Until Licursi signed on Mihevc was one of three Toronto councillors, all in midtown, to be uncontested in their bids for re-election.
On Aug. 29 Kim Diep signed on to challenge Jaye Robinson in Ward 25. Josh Matlow, in Ward 22, also has company as Sarfraz Khan filed papers, Sept. 8.
