Mystery picket targets TTC headquarters
Signs suggest protesters upset by proposal to contract out cleaning jobs, but union says it's unaware of any planned action

A picket has formed outside of Toronto Transit Commission headquarters at Davisville Station around noon hour today.
The signs indicate the picketers are opposing the suggested contracting out of TTC cleaners’ jobs.
According to a media spokesperson for ATU Local 113 which represents the cleaners, the union was unaware of a plan to picket at the Yonge Street and Davisville intersection.
Many of the picketers’ signs attack Mayor Rob Ford and TTC Chair Karen Stintz directly, often making football references to the mayor.
