No troubles for Shiner in Ward 24
Incumbent sweeps back into power
Long-time Ward 24 rep David Shiner had no trouble in the race to hold on to his city council seat.
Shiner received 9,611 votes compared with challenger Sonny Cho who took in 4,585 votes.
In 2006 Shiner won easily taking 54 percent of the vote and defeating his nearest rival Ed Shiller by 3,162 votes. However, voter turnout was low with only 34 percent of Ward 24 constituents coming out to cast their ballots.
