Pedestrian struck by streetcar
19-year-old woman in serious, but stable condition

The portion of St. Clair Avenue West that was closed for an investigation after a pedestrian was struck by a streetcar earlier today has reopened.
Constable Wendy Drummond tweeted that the westbound lanes of St. Clair are no longer closed.
Witnesses originally reported the 512 St. Clair streetcar was heading eastbound just west of Yonge Street when the woman ran out in front of it and was hit, before becoming trapped for a period of time.Drummond said the victim, a 19-year-old woman, was taken to hospital in serious, but stable condition, adding the victim was conscious and breathing as she was taken from the scene.
