Police release sketch of man wanted in Rosedale sex assault

Woman attacked on stairs in Ramsden Park

Police have released a composite sketch of a man wanted for an early morning sex assault of a woman on Oct. 7 in a Rosedale park.

The woman was attacked at about 1 a.m. while making her way up a flight of stairs in Ramsden Park, between Pears Avenue and Hillsboro Avenue, according to police.

Police say the man was walking down the stairs when he threw the woman to the ground, attempted to cover her mouth and sexually assaulted her.

He was last running east toward Yonge Street.

The man is described as white, in his mid-30s, and between 5-foot-9 and 6-foot. He was wearing a dark blue hoodie with white lines on the sides, and dark-coloured pants that might have been jeans.
