Polish Festival attracts big name acts

This year’s Polish Festival, in its fifth year, is expected to attract over 175,000 spectators to Roncesvalles Village during its two-day run in September.

Highlights of the fest include several polka music acts, including performances from the Chicago-based Freeze Dried, Grammy-nominated Canadian musician John Gora, who will perform a mix of polka beats and New Orleans-inspired blues, and a variety of local musicians and buskers.

Yummy plates of perogy, polish sausage and Tyskie will be available at three beverage gardens. Spectators can soak up the energy of Polish folk dancing with performances taking place every 90 minutes on the Polish Credit Union stage.

New this year is Kino Kultura, a celebration of Polish cinema and video art at the Revue Cinema.
