KAROLYN COORSH/TOWN CRIER AND THEN THERE WERE THREE: Only hours after telling the Town Crier that he'd be sticking in the race until election day mayoral candidate Rocco Rossi announced the end of his campaign.

Rocco Rossi dropped out of the mayor’s race only hours after telling a Town Crier editorial board meeting that he was in it to win.

With a slim chance of recovering from the latest numbers that positioned the midtown resident as trailing far behind the front-runners, Rossi decided to throw in towel, he told the Town Crier at his Avenue Rd. campaign headquarters shortly after a hastily called evening press conference.
