Run for Huntington Disease this weekend

For the fourth year in a row, Torontonians will be hitting the streets in the annual Run for Huntington Disease fundraiser.

The run will take place on Sunday, June 24 at Wilket Creek Park. Registration opens at 7:30 a.m. for the 10k and 5k runs, and the 1–5k walk which start later in the day.

Over the last three years, the Toronto chapter of the Huntington Society of Canada has raised $102,000 for Huntington’s disease research with the run. Their goal for this year is to raise $60,000.

Huntington’s disease, a genetic disorder which causes loss of the ability to speak, move, or think, is currently incurable.
