St. Michael’s College salute the vets

On Nov. 11, Toronto’s St. Michael’s College School honoured the brave veterans in a very special Remembrance Day ceremony. The salute also included a heart-warming speech from Sergeant Matthew McAuley of the Queen’s Own Rifles Militia and other presentations that took place in the gymnasium.

After the ceremony, each grade 12 student carried a memorial photo of one of the 152 Canadians who have died in the Afghanistan war. The photos lay across the school’s front lawn allowing the school and community to pay tribute to the fallen soldiers.
