Suffers life-threatening injuries
A 17-year-old boy suffered life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a freight train in the early hours of 2016.
Police say the boy was struck by a freight train while walking with two friends on the tracks near Mt. Pleasant Road and Summerhill Avenue just after 3 a.m. on Jan. 1.
Constable Craig Brister says the boy suffered substantial injuries.
“There is no indication what they were doing on the tracks,” Brister said. “Our victim sustained serious head injuries and was transported to hospital.”
