The race in Ward 22 is on

Councillor Josh Matlow finally has a challenger

St. Paul’s councillor Josh Matlow is no longer uncontested in his bid for re-election.

With the deadline to file papers or withdraw from races for the Oct. 27 elections coming Thursday, Matlow was in a position to acclaim his council seat until late yesterday.

Sarfraz Khan filed his papers in the afternoon becoming the sole opponent to Matlow in Ward 22.

Matlow is finishing his first term as councillor after spending two terms as trustee for St. Paul’s, where he acclaimed that position in 2003.
