Uber driver sought for sex assault
Toronto police are looking for an Uber cab driver, who allegedly sexually assaulted a female passenger.
The victim, a 25-year-old woman, was picked up in the Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue area on Tuesday and driven to a home near Lawrence Avenue West and Avenue Road.
At that time, police say the woman was reportedly sexually assaulted inside the car.
The suspect, who police identified as 21-year-old Amritpal Singh, is described as having a light brown complexion, short black spiked hair and a chinstrap beard. On his Uber driver profile, he is listed as “Amritpal.”
Police say he may be driving a 2014 black Chevrolet Cruze with Ontario licence plate BWMA 171.
