Toronto Police say 18-year-old Don Johnson was arrested and is facing two counts of first-degree murder for the shooting deaths that occurred in an underground parking garage of an apartment building at 325 Bogert Ave., south of Sheppard Avenue W. and between Yonge and Bathurst streets, on Feb. 20.

Justin Waterman, 18, died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds to the head and chest, while older brother Jerome, 22, died from multiple gunshot wounds to the head and back.

The Waterman brothers’ murders were this year’s seventh and eighth in the city, and the only double-homicide this year.

With this arrest, Homicide Squad have now been able to charge someone in each murder that has occurred in the City of Toronto from February through April of this year.

Also, this leaves just four of the 19 murders this year without someone having been arrested and charged.
