June 7: Tour of Mount Pleasant Cemetery

Heritage Toronto is leading Gravestones and Greenery, a tour of the Mount Pleasant Cemetery on June 7 from 6:30 to 8 p.m., highlighting the natural beauty of the cemetery.

The less-traveled paths of the eastern section of Mount Pleasant Cemetery will be explored.

Although well-known for its elaborate mausoleums of wealthy Toronto families, the cemetery was established for all. Stories will be shared about a cross-section of Toronto citizenry, including mayors, tycoons, and journalists.

The tour will begin and end at the Kay Gardner Beltline Park entrance at 378 Mount Pleasant Rd.

This is a free event. Go online for more information or to register.
