Gun pulled at drive-thru, two arrested

The honk of a car horn started an argument that escalated to one man having a gun pulled on him at a York Mills drive-thru, police say.

Police say a 19-year-old man and 15-year-old boy were in a car at a drive-thru at 3:30 p.m. on May 31 when a 45-year-old man in the car behind them honked his horn.

The teens allegedly began yelling at and threatening the man. All three got out of their cars and the 19-year-old is alleged to have pulled out and pointed a firearm at the 45-year-old man.

Police were called and they located the suspects and their vehicle nearby. Ammunition and a replica firearm were found.

Pedram Barghian, 19, is charged with possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, uttering death threats, and pointing a firearm.

The 15-year-old, who can not be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was charged with possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose, and uttering death threats.
