Human remains found at recent murder scene

Homicide officers are back at the scene of a murder-suicide from earlier this week after human remains — possibly a fetus — were discovered.

Police were called to 111 Raglan Ave. before 9:30 a.m. today for what they were told may be a human fetus.

Three days ago police were called to the same building for reports of someone falling from a balcony. Officers later determined 43-year-old Robert Giblin had stabbed his wife, 33-year-old Precious Charbonneau several times before she fell from the balcony of their 21st-floor apartment.

She died as a result of the fall, and Giblin was also found dead as a result of falling.

Police said Charbonneau was nine weeks pregnant at the time of her death. The case was Toronto’s 55th homicide of 2015.

Police have neither confirmed nor ruled out whether today’s discovery is connected to the homicide.
