CHARGED with first-degree murder is Yoshin Murillo, 22.

But they are not revealing how Estrada died, nor a possible motive for the alleged attack, Det. Sgt. Mike Carbone told a press conference on June 3.

“I can say there was no relationship between the two of them,” Carbone said.

Officers from 54 Division were called to the house on Torrens west of Pape Avenue by an occupant at about 2:20 a.m. and found the lifeless body of a woman in a bedroom. Despite lifesaving efforts by paramedics, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police reported.

Her body was not taken to hospital, Carbone said.

The autopsy was to take place on May 27, but Carbone said police are not revealing the cause of death.

Yostin Murillo, 22, of no fixed address, faces a charge of first-degree murder. He was scheduled to appear in court on June 4.
