Toronto-St. Paul’s goes green, wins award
Toronto-St. Paul’s councillor Josh Matlow and the city’s Live Green Toronto held a block party on Sept. 21.
Residents were invited to Wells Hill Park, at St. Clair Avenue West and Hilton Avenue, for family-friendly fun, including food trucks, live music, eco games, prizes, face painting, games and crafts, and a free tree giveaway from 12 noon to 5 p.m.
Thanks for all your support and kind words, Councillor! And congratulations #TorontoStPauls! #Ward12 this is how we #TransformTO! #CityofTO https://t.co/gUshTXqBvZ

The party itself was an award to the community of Toronto–St. Paul’s.
During the event, Live Green Toronto, the city program that engages residents in environmental action, presented a trophy to the community of Toronto-St. Paul’s for its work in the Take Steps to #TransformTO Walking Challenge in May.
Live Green had held a contest to see which ward would walk the most and Toronto-St. Paul’s won.
“So today we are celebrating our community’s dedication to the environment and healthy living,” Matlow said.
