Two men arrested, two sought for bank robberies

The Toronto police holdup squad has caught two men but are looking for two more after a series of bank robberies in downtown Toronto and East York.

Four banks were robbed — in each case by several several men working together — between April 19 and April 22, police reported today.

Each time one of the men allegedly approached a teller, saying he had a gun, and demanded cash, while the others waited outside as lookouts.

The inside man reportedly fled the scene with cash in a vehicle with the other men.

An investigation led to the  investigation and were able to identify the men, police said.

A search by the hold-up squad led to recovery of stolen cash and some clothing worn by the men during the robbery.

On April 22, Justin Smith, 26, of Sault Ste. Marie, was charged with three counts of robbery with a firearm and three counts of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.

Donald Lafleur, 55, of Toronto, faces just the conspiracy charge.

The both appeared in court virtually April 23.

Also wanted is Keith Kellman, 33, of no fixed address, on 23 charges, including multiple counts of robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent, and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, as well as 12 counts of failing to comply with probation.

He is described as 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds.

Jesse Pelletier, 37, of no fixed address, is wanted for multiple counts of robbery with a firearm and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, as well as six counts of failing to comply with probation

He is described as 5-foot-10 and 190 pounds.

Police have released their photos on the police news release site.

Both wanted men are considered dangerous, police said. If seen, they should not be approached. Call 911.
