July 17: Discussing the importance of Canada’s National Parks

Presented by the Rouge National Urban Park

A discussion about the importance of Canada’s National Parks will be held at the S. Walter Stewart library located at 170 Memorial Park Ave. on July 17 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Attendees of the program will learn where Canada’s national parks are located, the history of the parks,¬†how Parks Canada protects and conserves habitats and ecosystems, species at risk, protection and recovery efforts as well as¬†examples of environmental work at Rouge National Urban Park.

This is a free, all-ages presentation by staff from Rouge National Urban Park. Children are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian.
