Nov. 2: Pub night for literacy in east end

The third annual Literacy Pub Night raises funds for East York Learning Experience’s adult literacy programs in East Toronto. It’s happening Nov. 2, at the Eton House Tavern, 710 Danforth Ave., from 7 p.m.

The big prize this year is the chance to win two round-trip tickets to anywhere WestJet flies.

Other auction items and prizes include tickets to a Classic Albums Live concert at Roy Thompson Hall (Supertramp’s Breakfast in America album), Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament tickets and a year’s membership to TIFF Bell Lightbox.

This year’s band features Classic Albums Live alumni Des Leahy and Ryan Granville-Martin, Ian Goodtimes of the Mercenaries, and Paul Martin of the Blushing Brides.
