July 24: Your place in the universe at East York library

In “Finding Your Place in Space and Time,” Roberto Abraham, astronomy and astrophysicist professor at the University of Toronto, aims to give you  a “cosmic perspective,” by describing what we know about the nature of the Universe and your place in it.

He promises to find excuses to show pictures of pretty galaxies and talk about the impending launch of the James Webb Space
Telescope, the successor to the Hubble Space Telescope, which is going to be “insanely great,” he says.

The presentation takes place at S. Walter Stewart Library, 170 Memorial Park Ave., on July 24 at 6:30 p.m.
