Leaside remembers figure skating club founder

The Leaside Memorial Gardens Arena and the Leaside Skating Club are mourning the loss of a builder and mentor. Dr. Sidney Soanes, who started the Leaside Skating Club in 1952, the same year the Leaside Gardens opened, died Feb. 21.
