May 15: Master of the Chinese dulcimer

Chinese dulcimer masterThe first to hold a master degree in Yangqin Performance in China, and the youngest professor in that country, Pingxin Xu has introduced his Chinese dulcimer to hundreds of thousands in audiences all over the world. His performance combines breathtaking technique with extraordinary musicianship.

His one-hour performance at S. Walter Stewart Library, 170 Memorial Park Ave., starts at 6:30 p.m. on May 15.
