Feb. 18–April 1: Winter Stations art exhibit on the beach

Six international installations in the Beaches focus on migration

Winners of the fifth annual Winter Stations competition will be on display, ready to interact with visitors, on Woodbine Beach at the western end of the beach in the Beaches community, starting Feb. 18.

The WinterStations 2019 theme is migration and is dealt with by six temporary installations attached to lifeguard stands on the beach.

This year’s winners include three international entries — “The Forest of Butterflies” by a Mexican artist, “Mind Station” from Poland, and “Above the Wall” from the United States — as well as three entries from Toronto post-secondary institutions: Sheridan College, Humber College and the University of Toronto.
