July 1: Parade, festival and fireworks in East York
Canada Day celebrations are a full day of family fun
East York’s 62nd Canada Day celebrations start with a parade, continue with a fun-filled day in Stan Wadlow Park and end with a spectacular fireworks display.
The Canada Parade begins at Dieppe Park, 455 Cosburn Ave., at 10 a.m., winding via Coxwell, Sammon and Woodbine avenues to end at Stan Wadlow Park, 373 Cedarvale Ave.
The park will feature rides, artisans, food, live music, and a craft beer garden, as well as demonstrations at the skate park and swimming in the pool.
The Paul James Band will perform and Joe Motiki, formerly of TVO Kids, will entertain all afternoon.
The fireworks begin at 10 p.m.
