July 17: Discussing the importance of Canada’s National Parks

A discussion about the importance of Canada’s National Parks will be held at the S. Walter Stewart library located at 170 Memorial Park Ave. on July 17 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Attendees of the program will learn where Canada’s national parks are located, the history of the parks, how Parks Canada protects and conserves habitats and ecosystems, species at risk, protection and recovery efforts as well as examples of environmental work at Rouge National Urban Park.

This is a free, all-ages presentation by staff from Rouge National Urban Park. Children are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian.
