March 21: Consult on Eglinton East development
32-storey tower proposed to replace eight-storey medical building on Eglinton
The public is invited to participate in a community consultation on a proposed development at 586 Eglinton Ave. E., west of Bayview Avenue.
The virtual meeting is to take place March 21 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
A 32-storey mixed-use condominium building is proposed by Sanderling Developments to replace the existing eight-storey office building on the site, called the Eglinton Bayview Medical Centre.
A zoning bylaw amendment is sought from the city to allow the new building that contains 249 units, nearly 17,000 square metres of residential floor area, and less than 5,000 square metres of non-residential floor area.
The high rise would replace all of the existing office space of the current 8-storey office building, according to the developers’ plans.
To take part in the meeting, register online with Webex in advance.
