May 7: Celebrate spring at the Forsythia Festival

The Forsythia Festival returns to Cabbagetown on May 7, with the parade starting at the corner of Sumach and Winchester streets at 10 a.m.

The festival, presented by the Cabbagetown Residents Association, will be held in Wellesley Park, 500 Wellesley St. E, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Participants are asked to wear yellow to celebrate spring at this neighbourhood festival.

Apart from the parade, the fun activities include foods and beverages from local shops and pubs, games for all ages, a bouncy castle, a mechanical bull, a magician, a BBQ, face painting and much more.

The event is free for all to attend, and visitors from across Toronto are welcome to join the fun.

The Forsythia Festival has been held at Wellesley Park on the first Sunday of May for more than 50 years.
