May 11: Scientific adventure story in the disappearing Arctic
Geographer Mark C. Serreze presents at the ROM
Arctic geographer and climatologist Mark C. Serreze presents a sweeping tale of discovery spanning three decades as researchers came to understand that the Arctic was quickly changing – and disappearing.
A gripping scientific adventure story, his book, Brave New Arctic, shows how the Arctic’s extraordinary transformation serves as a harbinger of things to come if we fail to meet the challenge posed by a warming Earth.
He is speaking at the Royal Ontario Museum on May 11 from 6 to 7 p.m.
Admission is free, but RSVP is required. Call 416-586-5797 or email programs@rom.on.ca.
