Hey! Bring back that bench!

The lime green bench that was featured on a contest page in the Aug. 7 issue of the Town Crier has gone missing.

Artbarn School’s executive director Linda McMaster says the bench, a fixture outside the school at 250 Eglinton Ave. West, went missing in mid-August. She is convinced it was stolen.

Carly Hinks, citywide manager of street furniture management at the City of Toronto, said at the end of the month there is no record of the bench having been picked up by city workers.

“It’s such a shame that our green bench was stolen, since so many people enjoyed it and we spent considerable time painting and repairing it,” McMaster lamented.

“We would love information to track it down,” McMaster said, adding that Artbarn School is offering a reward for its return.

Anyone with information on the bench’s whereabouts should contact the school at 416-518-6108.
