Ensuring clients understand

With a background in medicine in Yugoslavia, Tatjana Ristic-Avramov moved to Canada and became a certified nutritional consultant.

In addition to offering a variety of vitamins, supplements, protein and sports nutrition, she opened Our Wellness at Yonge Street and Erskine Avenue to offer in-store consultations about a range of health concerns including hormonal imbalance, menopause, stress relief, detoxification and weight loss management.

“For me it’s important that people realize they can come here and have one-on-one in store consultations,” she says, adding appointments aren’t necessary since she’s always available during open hours. “We also have lots of different effective products for weight loss and we can support that with diet consultations and suggest good supplements.”

Rather than have customers select items from the shelves without much research or knowledge, her goal for the health and wellness centre is help clients find a suitable product and provide more information for more effective results and benefits.

Our Wellness, which also features beauty goods like shampoos and a selection of imported German health products, also has herbs and roots available in bulk.

Since opening her doors near the end of October, Ristic-Avramov says repeat customers have been a highlight of being part of the neighbourhood. She hopes to continue providing her clients with services and products so they can live healthier lives.

“I think there are so many chronic diseases like arthritis, diabetes, cardiovascular problems, hormonal imbalance that with the right supplements and good nutrition can be improved,” she says. “People can feel much better.”
