Former Toronto mayor David Crombie and other local residents have been appreciating David Tricoll’s photo tribute, Created by Everybody: Entrepreneurs and Artisans of Midtown at Grano. Town Crier videographer Larry Hurd reports from the restaurant on Yonge Street, south of Eglinton Avenue.
We all know “this city” is changing at a rapid rate but it’s Midtown, where this video was taken, that is changing even faster. 60 towers, 23,000 new residents, their kids, cars, cats and dogs all coming in the near future. Significantly, there’s still no plan to ensure that the quality of life does not suffer. The area is shared between 3 councillors and 2 planning departments. Check the websites of those who purport to care and notice how little is devoted to the changing times in Midtown. Talk is cheap and action is needed ASAP.
