Firefighters, EMS eat chocolate for charity

For those looking to have a good laugh while donating to charity Alleycatz restaurant at Yonge St. and Eglinton Ave. will be holding its much anticipated 911 Chocolate Relay Oct. 21 at 7 p.m.

For a $10 donation to Breast and Prostate cancer research at Princess Margaret Hospital, spectators get the chance to watch police, firefighters and EMS workers eat their way through a table of chocolaty delights.

When the race begins a member from each team races to a table and eats an item before running back and tagging the next person. The fastest team to finish the items including ice cream, pudding and chocolate bars wins the Chocolate Bowl.

“There is usually around six to 12 items on the table,” the Chocolate Festival Week producer Joey Cee said. “It takes about 20 minutes to half an hour to complete and the they along with the crowd really get into it.”
