Gord Perks wins easily

Anti-incumbent wave doesn't hit Ward 14

In a crowded race in Ward 14 incumbent councillor Gord Perks had little difficulty putting away the nine challengers he faced.

Perks has received 7,707 votes which puts him ahead Ryan Hobson with 2,578 votes.

In 2006 Perks also faced a crowded field and won with just over 30 percent of the popular vote. Rowena Santos came second with 23.5 percent of the vote. The ward had one of the city’s higher voter turnouts with 43 percent of registered voters casting their ballots.
