Midtown all-girls private school Havergal has been ranked the second-best secondary school in Ontario by the Fraser Institute.
The annual rankings from the national research and education firm were released during the weekend. Rankings were based on standardized test scores.
Havergal finished second behind Centre professionnel et technique Minto of Ottawa.
Other midtown Toronto schools also fared well, with another five landing in the top 100.
Lawrence Park Collegiate placed 29th, North Toronto Collegiate and Loretto Abbey tied for 53rd place, and Forest Hill Collegiate and Leaside High School tied for 86th.
In all, 22 Toronto schools finished in the top 100. There were 109 schools from Toronto in the rankings, which included a total 749 schools.
