Incumbent Palacio holding steady lead
[attach]2489[/attach]Councillor Cesar Palacio is in the lead as the early returns come in for Ward 17.
As of 8:33 p.m., Palacio has about 4,685 votes and is leading Jonah Schein, who currently has 2,965 votes.
In 2006 Palacio squeaked out a 281 vote victory over challenger Alejandra Bravo in a race that saw 38 percent of registered voters cast ballots.
