A 70-year-old Toronto man has been arrested following investigation of an alleged sexual assault on a woman riding a TTC bus in 2016.
Police reported on Sept. 14 a woman, 44, was on a bus in August 2016 in the Eglinton Avenue West and Avenue Road area when she was attacked by another passenger.
Brian Condie, 70, of Toronto was arrested on Sept. 13 and charged with sexual assault. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 29.
Police thanked the media and public for their assistance which led to the arrest.
An earlier press release from the police had sought assistance identifying a man wanted in a sexual assault investigation involving two incidents: the alleged 2016 assault and an alleged assault on the same woman on a bus on Sept. 12, 2018.
This time the woman was able to photograph him, police said.
The man was then described as 50–60 years old, about 5-foot-9, and having a medium build and white hair.
Police released the woman’s photograph of the man.
