Man charged in midtown bank robbery

A 32-year-old man is facing two robbery charges in connection with a couple of holdups, including a bank robbery in midtown.

Police allege a man entered a bank near Yonge Street and Sheppard Avenue on July 22 and received money after showing a note that he had a gun.

The same man entered a Yonge and Eglinton Avenue bank on Aug. 5 and showed a holdup note, leading to him being given money, police say.

Andrew Davis of Mississauga was arrested on Oct. 19 and charged with two counts of robbery.
