Ratepayers’ association AGM open to all
Local councillor Josh Matlow, school trustee Shelley Laskin and Metrolinx director Jamie Robinson will be on hand when the 100-member-strong South Eglinton Ratepayers’ & Residents’ Association holds its annual general meeting on Thursday, April 23 at Manor Road United Church, 240 Manor Rd. East.
According to president Geoffrey Jones, the 6:30–9 p.m. meeting is also open to residents who are not members.
“We’ll be drawing people’s attention to our guiding principles, saying is this the SERRA neighbourhood, the Davisville, you would like to see?” Jones said.
Included will be discussions on topics such as the proliferation of tall homes on neighbourhood streets, the explosive growth of condominium towers in the neighbourhood and the progress of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.
