Robbery at St. Patrick Catholic Secondary School

What a lousy way to end the school year.

Just weeks before the start of summer vacation, St. Patrick Catholic Secondary School was robbed of several computers.

Police say two caretakers were working at the high school near Danforth and Coxwell avenues on June 10 around 11:20 p.m. when four men confronted the caretakers and forced them to comply with a series of demands.

One of the men reportedly stayed with the caretakers while the other three removed several Apple desktop computers.

Detective Sergeant Adrianne Johnstone said the individuals likely entered the school for the purpose of stealing property, rather than simply trespassing.

“Perhaps these individuals didn’t know that the caretakers were in the school at the time,” she said.

Johnstone said she can’t divulge whether the robbers were armed, or what the list of demands was.

“Fortunately, the employees weren’t injured, that’s the most important part,” she said. “The computers can be replaced.”

Police are looking for help catching the criminals.

The suspects are described as 17-22, between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot tall, all with thin builds, except one individual who had a heavy
build. All were described as wearing white outfits.
