Sixteen-year-old stabbing victim dies from his injuries

The police are continuing to investigate the stabbing death of 16-year-old Justice Ferrigno.

According to Toronto Police Services, they received a call Saturday, June 12 at 11:04 p.m. regarding a person with a knife in the Bathurst Street and St. Clair Avenue West area. Upon arrival, Ferrigno was found with trauma to the body and was rushed
to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died of his wounds.

Police say Ferrigno was involved in an altercation near the park area of Hillcrest Junior Public School, which led into the street where the he was stabbed. The suspect then fled on foot.

The suspect is described as white, between 5’9” and 6’ tall with dark hair and glasses. He was wearing khaki-green army-style jacket, was carrying a black bag and appeared to be under 18 years of age.

A post-mortem was expected to be conducted Monday, June 14.
