Smooth victory for Stintz in Ward 16

Stintz captures lead early, maintains in Eglinton-Lawrence

Incumbent Councillor Karen Stintz has easily retained her council seat for a third term. With 60 percent of the vote, Stintz won handily over runner-up Terry Mills, who polled at just over 20 percent.

In 2006 Stintz beat her nearest rival by over 7,100 votes, capturing almost 65 percent of the popular vote. Last time out 41 percent of registered voters cast their ballot in the ward.
