Stabbing at sushi bar

An argument between co-workers at an Annex sushi restaurant escalated into a fatal stabbing on Nov. 7.

Police were called to New Generation Restaurant at 493 Bloor St. West just after 11 p.m.

Ming Yang, 27, of China, was stabbed and taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. An autopsy confirmed Yang died from a stab wound to the chest.

Xu Yang, 25, also of China, was arrested and has been charged with second-degree murder.

The Chinese Consulate has been advised, as both the victim and accused are Chinese nationals.
