Teenager arrested for variety store holdup

Police have made an arrest in the [url=http://www.mytowncrier.ca/injured-shopkeeper-feeling-the-love.html]violent robbery of Luke’s Grocery and Variety[/url] on Logan Avenue four months ago.

Police say that on Feb. 24, two men wearing disguises entered the store and approached the counter. One man pointed a shotgun at owner Paul Kim while demanding money.

Kim was then stabbed after an altercation with the second suspect, resulting in a punctured lung that required surgery.

According to police, the suspects fled empty handed in a stolen vehicle, which was later recovered with the knife inside.

Paul Bonnick, 19, has been charged with robbery while armed with a firearm, disguise with intent, aggravated assault, theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime and failure to comply with recognizance. Another suspect remains at large.
