Feb. 23: Join webinar on Metrolinx’s Don Valley layover
The advocacy group Don’t Mess With the Don is hosting a webinar to discuss Metrolinx’s plans to build a “layover and service facility” in the Don Valley.
About 1,100 trees will be cut and sensitive wetland and habitats destroyed to make way for the reintroduction of polluting industrial operations, according to the group.
The webinar on Feb. 23, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., will be held on Zoom.
Floyd Ruskin and Chris Williams will discuss Metrolinx’s plans and alternatives, based on Don’t Mess With the Don’s two years of research. A Q&A session will follow.
